Crocodile Tears

Good morning all!
Well, it's been 24 hours since my doctor told me to stay away from Facebook and hear I am....stressing again! ( I must be addicted to Facebook!)

This time I'm going to stick my two cents in where it probably doesn't belong but it's an issue that I feel I need to address!

A brief history.  I was an actor.  Obviously not a great actor otherwise I'd still be "An Actor" but for reasons beyond my control, I am no longer an actor.  I am school trained in the arts; college, theatre school, actual experience and real life situations.  But this is not about me. It's about knowing and understanding emotions.

There are two types of actors: Those that ACT and those that BELIEVE.  To quote from Charles McGraw, Acting is Believing!  You can tell the difference if you look hard enough.  And again, this is NOT about me and I'm not bashing anyone, just setting examples.  Actors that believe, become the character they are portraying.  Watching their characterizations you don't see the actor, you see the character.  You know the people that I mean, THE BELIEVERS: Meryl Streep, Dustin Hoffman, Gary Oldman, Robert De Niro, Sally Field and the list goes on but I'm sure you understand.

Then, there are the celebrities and finally, there are those that ACT.  Again, I'm not bashing, just trying to show the difference.  The ACTORS you'll see in low budget made for cable movies.  Entertaining, but just short of really believable.

So why this Expository about Acting and Actors?  Because I saw something that bothered and embarrassed me the other day and I need to put my thoughts out there for you to think about and give me your feedback.......



And there it is:  In seven plus years of his presidency, I have never, never seen any emotion from this man whatever.  All that I've ever seen is a pompous, arrogant, dictatorial stance that makes me believe he suffers from visions of self-grandeur.  But now, his reign is coming close to an end and he's pulling out the stops to push his agenda through and try to relate to the very people that he is trying to oppress......US, YOU & ME, The Citizens of the United States of America.....

I watched his speech, saw his Crocodile Tears and saw there was NO EMOTION behind those tears at all......I was embarrassed that he would make such an failed attempt to tug at our heartstrings.  You could see how he hesitated, trying to bring the tears to his eyes........OMG!  How stupid does he think we are?  Did you fall for it, did you see it as controlling, am I just a hypocritical, pompous ass like I believe he is?  Please tell me.  I need to know......
